Clark started playing football as a QB, at the age of fifteen at Bowness High School, where he was coached by Don Daum. He also played for The Calgary Cowboys, coached by Al Cooper. Although starting off as a QB, Eric caught his stride as a Slotback, and became a leading force helping his Trojans to the City Championship twice, and once with The Cowboys. After a seven year hiatus from the game, Eric returned to join The Calgary Wolfpack in 2012 and helped them to the Provincial Championships twice in three years; Winning the title in 2014. Eric joins the Airdrie Irish as a core player, determined and poised to lead the team for years to come.
